Finding the right cage...
Aside from a good diet, a good cage is next in line. There's So much bad information about cages on the internet, it's hard to tell right from wrong. I'll try to be as forward here as I can. I won't tell you that you absolutely HAVE to have a 6 foot tall cage, but I also wont tell you that a tiny, little bird cage will suffice. We've had experience with a few different cages and hopefully can steer you in the right direction. :O)
Double Critter Nation Cage_The Double Critter Nation (often referred to as DCN) is rapidly becoming a house favorite in the glider community. After seeing them in person at a friends house, we decided to switch ALL of our gliders over to DCN cages. Like the HQ cages, they're sturdy and will last years! Not to mention, they're HUGE with 4 large doors for unbelievably easy cleaning.

The Large Sturdy (or Congo) CageThis is, in my personal opinion, one of the best Sugar Glider cages money can buy! It's bigger than the HQ and not as tall/narrow as the Madagascar. It's expensive, but it's money well spent.

The Madagascar CageAh, the Madagascar cage. This is one of the best cages out there. It's from the HQ manufacturing company so you know it will last. The only downside... you wont hardly find it for less than $180. That's actually not a bad price for this monster of a cage, but you have to factor in shipping which will bring your total well over the $200 mark. The plus side... it will be years before you'll have to buy another cage. So in the end, it's well worth the investment.

The HQ CageThe cage is loved by many, many glider owners. It was the very first large cage that we bought. It's super sturdy and will last years! We've had one of ours for well over 6 years and it's just now starting to show minor signs of rust. This cage is worth every penny and is a great investment for your gliders. Take it from us, we have 7 of them and you cannot go wrong!

The Havana CageThis is another great cage that has the feel of an HQ cage, but it isn't. That didn't stop us from buying it, though. I absolutely love that it only has one large door in the front. It makes hanging things so much easier. This cage is very sturdy, but isn't as well made as the two above cages. If you take care of it properly and don't let the bars become exposed to moisture, it will last you a long time.

The Economy CageThere is absolutely nothing wrong with not being able to afford one of the above cages at first. We weren't able to afford two nice cages at one time and had to purchase this cage. It's a fantastic cage for slightly under a year, then it will start to rust horribly! It will also need to be zip-tied practically all the way around the cage. This will help make the cage slightly sturdier than it is. This cage is a great cage to start with until you're able to afford a better one.
